What Can I Expect During My Microfoam Ablation?
Your microfoam ablation will be performed at your local Hamilton Vascular location by one of our board-certified vein specialists. Before your microfoam ablation begins, a topical or local anesthetic may be applied to your treatment area. This is to ensure you remain as comfortable as possible throughout your treatment. Once numb, your specialist will begin injecting the specialized microfoam into your affected veins using a small needle or cannula. As little as three injections will need to be made into the veins in order to see results.

Immediately following your microfoam ablation, you may notice swelling, bruising, and tenderness around your treated areas. This is normal and typically resolves on its own within a few days of treatment. Most patients are able to their normal daily activities after one to two days following their treatment.
